Search and social media. They go together like peas and carrots. If you have a social media strategy, search engine optimization (SEO) needs to be part of it.
But Scott “Social Media” Allen (The Virtual Handshake) talks about this on his blog better than I could. Check out his (generous) resources on the topic here.
Remember: If you are not searchable, discoverable or shareable, no one will find you, learn more about you or tell others.
Winston Churchill was probably right when he said, “The short words are best, and the old words are the best of all.”
Certainly, short words are helpful when it comes to social media. People glance, skim and scroll with speed in social media land. In particular, Twitter has had an interesting impact on messaging. It is an exercise in brevity, forcing people to message in 140 characters or less. What a terrific exercise.
Can you develop your company’s elevator pitch in less than 140 characters? I tried and found it difficult.
“Four Leaf tells your story to whomever you need to hear it” was the best I could do. What about you?
